Upside-Down Puff Pastry with Garlic, Shallots, and Tomatoes

Recipe for 4 pastries

Ingredients:

1 sheet puff pastry dough

1 shallot - thinly sliced

6 garlic cloves - thinly sliced

6-8 cherry tomatoes - thinly sliced

Balsamic Glaze

Olive oil

Chili flakes

Salt and pepper

Fresh thyme (optional)

Parmesan cheese - grated (for topping and serving)

Fresh chives - chopped (for serving)

Instructions:

1. Defrost the dough approximately 2 hours before starting to make the recipe.

2. After the dough is ready, preheat the oven to 400°F.

3. Drizzle olive oil, balsamic glaze, chili flakes, thyme, salt, and pepper over parchment paper.

4. Top with sliced shallots, garlic, and tomatoes. Try to spread them around evenly.

5. Cut the dough into squares.

6. Place the puff pastry squares on top and press down on all sides, then sprinkle Parmesan on top.

7. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.

8. Gently flip over, add more Parmesan and chives, then serve.
