1/2 ciabatta bread (sliced horizontally)

3/4 cup tomato basil marinara sauce

1 garlic head

11 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

Salt & black pepper, to taste

1 tsp honey

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 tbsp chili oil (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

  2. Cut the top off the garlic head.

  3. Place the garlic in a stoneware mini round cocotte or wrap it in aluminum foil.

  4. Add honey, olive oil, salt, and pepper to the garlic.

  5. Cover the garlic and bake for 60-90 minutes.

  6. Once ready, remove from the oven and increase the temperature to 400°F.

  7. In a bowl, combine the softened butter with the roasted garlic cloves (squeezed out of their skins), salt, and pepper. Mix well.

  8. Spread the garlic-butter mixture over the sliced ciabatta and bake for 5 minutes.

  9. Add the marinara sauce, spreading it evenly.

  10. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and bake for 17-20 minutes.

  11. Optional: Broil for 1-2 minutes to achieve extra golden cheese.

  12. Allow the pizza bread to cool slightly, then drizzle with chili oil, garnish with chopped parsley, and slice before serving.
